Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy healing practice that promotes balance in the body, mind, and spirit. It works by supporting your body’s natural ability to heal itself, often bringing deep relaxation, emotional clarity, and a sense of peace.
Many people describe it as deeply calming, restorative, and clarifying—an experience that helps them return to themselves. Whether you’re seeking physical relief, emotional ease, spiritual connection, or simply time to rest, Reiki offers a nourishing space for it all.
Is Reiki Right for Me?
Reiki is especially supportive for those moving through grief—whether from the death of a loved one or any other form of loss. Grief can linger in our body and energy field, often settling in the heart, throat, and stomach. Reiki gently clears stagnation from these areas, helping the body soften and the spirit begin to integrate what’s been lost.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from Reiki. It’s for anyone who feels disconnected, tender, or in need of energetic realignment. You may be:

Reiki at Between Realms Studio

A sacred space to soften, release, and return to yourself.
Come unwind in the warmth of my home studio in Central Nanaimo. These intuitively guided sessions may include oracle insight, sound, or other supportive elements. Studio sessions are currently available to women and non-binary individuals. Male clients are welcome by referral.
Distance Reiki (Live Video)

Energetic healing that transcends distance and time.
Receive Reiki from anywhere in the world. These live video sessions include intention-setting, energy transmission, and a closing reflection to integrate the experience. If you are located outside of Canada and don’t see a time that works for you, please contact me and we'll find a time that aligns.

1 / What is Shamanic Reiki?
Shamanic Reiki weaves together traditional Usui Reiki with shamanic healing techniques. While Reiki opens the energetic pathways for healing, shamanic journeying deepens the experience, allowing you to access inner wisdom, release stagnant energy, and reconnect with your soul’s guidance.
2 / What should I expect during a session?
Each session is intuitively guided and tailored to your needs in the moment. You'll rest fully clothed on a massage table under sheets and a blanket while I gently place my hands on or just above your body. You may feel warmth, tingling, light pressure, or simply a sense of peace as the energy flows. Most clients enter a deeply relaxed, meditative state which allows for energetic clearing and spiritual insights to come through. You may experience energy flowing, emotional release, or simply deep rest.
3 / What platforms do you use for Distance Reiki?
Distance sessions are done live over FaceTime, WhatsApp, or Google Meet. We’ll begin by connecting and setting your intention, followed by a remote Reiki transmission. I’ll share reflections and insights after the session.
4 / Is Distance Reiki really effective?
Yes. Reiki is not limited by time or space. Many clients are surprised by how deeply they feel the energy, even across great distances. As long as you are in a quiet, undisturbed space, Distance Reiki can be just as powerful as in-person.
5 / How should I prepare for my session?
Wear comfortable clothing, hydrate before and after, and arrive (or be available online) a few minutes early. I recommend avoiding stimulants (caffeine and alcohol) for 24-48 hours prior to your session as it can impact your ability to drop into a receptive state. For Distance sessions, find a quiet, cozy spot where you can lie down or sit comfortably without interruptions. You may wish to light a candle, burn incense, or have your own sacred objects nearby.
6 / How do I pay for my session?
Payments can be made by e-transfer, cash, or credit card.
7 / What's your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a 50% fee, with exceptions for illness or emergency.
