Soul Talks

Soul Talks: Living Well, Dying Well

Explore Life, Death, and Meaning in Community

Soul Talks is a themed, facilitated conversation experience designed to support death literacy and meaningful dialogue around mortality. Each gathering centres around a specific aspect of death, grief, or conscious living, and is supported by a curated set of prompt cards designed to deepen reflection and dialogue. While inspired by the openness of community-based models like Death Cafés, Soul Talks offers a more intentional container — blending structure, atmosphere, and thoughtful facilitation to encourage meaningful, embodied conversation.

Each session is 90 minutes, providing space for reflection, dialogue, and deep listening.

Soul Talks are not counselling sessions or grief groups, but a space for curiosity, connection, and compassionate exploration. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background, or spiritual beliefs.

Themes

  • What Makes a Good Death? – What does a peaceful or conscious death look like?

  • Legacy and Meaning – How do we hope to be remembered? What do we want to leave behind?

  • Mystical Experiences Around Death – Near-death experiences, dreams, and visitations.

  • Global Traditions – Exploring global traditions around dying and mourning.

  • The Body After Death – Exploring burial, cremation, green burials, and alternative practices.

  • Death and Creativity – How art, writing, and music help us process mortality.

  • What Happens After We Die? – Exploring spiritual and cultural perspectives on death and the afterlife.

  • If I Only Had a Year Left to Live – What would change if time suddenly became precious?

  • Grief in a Culture that Avoids It – Exploring Western culture’s relationship to grief and communal ways of tending loss.

Soul Talks help participants:
